Length and roof heights
The Transporter is perfect for all kinds of businesses, with 2 different wheelbases available. The Transporter’s short wheel base comes with a vehicle length of 4,904mm, and a roof height of 1,990mm, so that you can carry more. Looking for even more space? The Transporter’s long wheelbase is your best bet. With 5,304mm in vehicle length and up to 2,477mm in roof height, when you order the high roof.

Prepared for the heaviest of orders, the Transporter can accommodate a load volume ranging from 5.8m3 to 9.3m3. With a payload of 964 – 1,256kg and a towing capacity6 of 2.8t for diesel and 2.3t for BEV, you can move the entire kitchen sink in a single trip.
Engine
Choose from a powerful 125kW front-wheel drive, VW’s signature 4MOTION all-wheel drive with smooth automatic gear shifts, or step up to the all-electric model with rear-wheel drive and 210kW of power. The 64kWh battery and DC fast charging gets you from 10% to 80% in just 38 minutes. Whether you let the automatic transmission do the work or shift manually via Tiptronic, the Transporter is made to move.
Driver comfort
Long hours behind the wheel are part of the job – but they don’t have to feel like it. The Transporter’s redesigned cabin puts comfort and practicality first, with supportive seat cushioning, an intuitive dash layout and a multifunction steering wheel that adjusts to suit your position. It’s a setup that works just as hard as you do.
Infotainment
From managing calls to navigation, the Transporter’s infotainment system is built to keep you connected and on the move. With standard onboard navigation, a 13-inch colour touchscreen with Wireless App-Connect4 lets you sync your phone without plugging in. With Bluetooth, a 12” digital cockpit and wireless charging on board, staying in control is easy – even when you’re flat out.
Cabin
The centre console includes dedicated phone storage, a built-in cup holder for that all important wake-me up and multiple charging options – including 2 USB sockets (USB‑C and USB‑A) and a 12V outlet. And with an illuminated lockable glove box, you’ll never lose your wedding ring again. The Transporter’s interior is made to support every part of the job.
Load area
The Transporter’s exterior is designed to make loading easier, featuring three foldable roof rails to help secure bulky or oversized gear up top. At the back, you can choose between a standard rear tailgate or optional rear wing doors depending on your cargo access needs. On the side, a left sliding door comes standard, with the option to add a right-side door – including power latching or electric sliding for added convenience. Optional windows and floor coverings help you tailor the space to your job.
Standard safety
Ready to stop at a moment’s notice
The Transporter van is built with a variety of safety features to help keep you safe in all kinds of places.
Side Assist
Side Assist uses LED lights in the side mirrors to let you know if there are any cars in your blind spots. Once you indicate to change lanes, the system will flash if there’s a potential hazard – and can even apply corrective steering using Lane Assist to help avoid a collision.
Traffic sign recognition
Front-mounted cameras identify traffic signs and display the information clearly on your dashboard.
Front Assist with City Emergency Brakes
Front Assist combines multiple features to help you avoid or minimise collisions. It includes emergency braking with pedestrian and cyclist detection, intersection assist, advanced turn assist and evasive support.
Using radar sensors, the system detects vehicles ahead, warns the driver and prepares to brake. If there’s no response, it applies the brakes automatically. At speeds below 30 km/h, City Emergency Brake can intervene earlier if a collision appears likely.
Blind Spot Monitoring with Rear Traffic Alert
Perfect for city driving, the blind spot monitor detects cars and motorcycles alongside the van and signals with a LED indicator in the side mirror. Rear traffic alert warns of vehicles approaching from behind while reversing, with both an audible alert and a visual message via the Optical Parking System (OPS).
Multi-collision brakes
This system is designed to assist immediately after an accident. When the airbags detect a collision, the multi-collision brake activates to slow the vehicle and help prevent a secondary impact. During braking, hazard lights and brake lights remain illuminated. The driver can take back control at any time.
Driver assistance systems
Adaptive cruise control
Adaptive cruise control (ACC) takes the pressure off longer drives. Once you set your speed, the system monitors traffic ahead and adjusts to maintain a safe following distance. In stop-start conditions, it can bring the vehicle to a complete halt and then pull away again when the road clears.
High beam Light Assist
When you’re driving at night, high beam light assist helps you see further without dazzling oncoming traffic. The system detects vehicles ahead and automatically switches between high and low beams – keeping the road ahead clear and well lit.
Convenience
We never lose sight of the importance of road safety. That’s why our Transporter vehicles can be upgraded with a range of driver assistance systems.
Rear view camera
Reversing’s easier when you can see what’s behind you. The rear view camera gives you a clear video feed of the space behind the van – helping you back into tight spots with greater confidence. It’s especially useful for protecting rear-mounted gear like towbars or storage racks.
Exterior and interior lighting
From after-hours work to tight job site access, visibility matters. The Transporter comes with LED headlights, LED daytime running lights and LED interior lighting to keep everything clear as day. Electrically folding exterior mirrors help protect the van when parked and give you a better view when pulling out.
